Blood of the Oracle
Book One of Profane Inheritance
The daughter of Purgatory has awakened.
For sixteen years, clairvoyant Maia Kelly has lived as a condemned penitent behind the walls of a Victorian abbey, praying for redemption for a childhood crime.
Then a crimson comet tears across the sky—and something dark awakens inside her.
Forced to flee the only home she has ever known, Maia discovers the truth of her inheritance: her father is the King of Purgatory, and he believes she is the prophesied Oracle destined to end a thousand-year war between demons and seraphs.
Now a ruthless seraph prince wants her alive long enough to serve his purpose—and dead before she can fulfill hers.
Maia cannot choose what she is becoming. But she can still choose who she becomes.

Who is
Dark Kimber?
First, yes, she's Kimberly Jayne. Second, no, something has not gone terribly wrong.
Dark Kimber writes Gothic dark and historical fantasy for readers who like their celestials imperfect, their monsters complicated, and their desires more than a little dangerous.
She conjures worlds of forbidden hungers, old sins, buried secrets, and uneasy bargains between the divine and the damned.
Here, salvation has a price, destiny has teeth, and even the most lost soul may yet find her own way.
