I'm over at The Stiletto Gang this week talking about writing in a genre I never thought I would, because it turns out that dark fantasy, which is how I categorize Demonesse: Avarus, is often used as a euphemism for horror.
I don't even like horror!
Except that apparently I do, according to Amazon. I like it enough to write an entire series!
Heh. That's okay. Look at all the authors we love who write delicious dark stories that keep us turning the pages all night, despite the threat of nightmares: Edgar Allen Poe, Bram Stoker, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Ray Bradbury, Mary Shelley, Robert Louis Stevenson, Dean Koontz, H. G. Wells! I'm in with good company!
So, I'm learning to love this new aspect of the dark fantasy genre, if still a little squeamish about the horror moniker. Acceptance is bliss, right?
